A malnourished young girl from Oklahoma has reportedly died just days after she told her good-hearted neighbor that her abusive parents loved her.

Violet Mitchell was rushed to a nearby hospital on August 2 where doctors shared she was very malnourished and was nearly skin and bones with sunken eyes.

But a few days before, a kind neighbor tried to assist the young girl to figure out what was wrong with her.

The neighbor explained to local media outlets that the only reason for her to take the child inside was because she was hungry. She wanted to provide her with food so gave her chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and carrots.

She refused to tell anything about her parents other than the fact that they loved her so much. The neighbor continued to mention how she cried and smiled and that’s when she took her back home.

Meanwhile, another autopsy shared how Mitchell’s death was mostly due to her failure to thrive. This was after they found a plastic baby bottle blocking her small intestine.

Her weight was only 29 pounds and she remained wrapped inside a blanket while wearing a diaper that was otherwise the size of a three-year-old child.

The doctors explained as per documents obtained by KOCO that this was devastating to hear.

She also had a severe bacterial infection and a series of injuries to her cheek and shoulder and her left leg. There was also a pale green discoloration on her stomach that signaled something was wrong.
