The orca that killed one of its trained in a wild manner has reportedly passed away.
This is the same killer whale who spent its entire life in captivity and fatally attacked its trainer at an event in 2009 at the Tenerife Zoo.
The male Orca named Keto died at the age of 29 after it showed plenty of signs of discomfort.
In recent days, it has been under close observation by the medical team. The 6600-pound killer whale lived there since it was shifted from SeaWorld in Orlando.
A total of 21 vets took part in its necropsy at the weekend although the actual cause of death is yet to be determined or made public.
Moreover, further texts are now taking place to conclude the findings and it might take a week more, sources revealed.
PETA which is a leading global animal rights organization shared how Keta spent a lifetime of being exploited inside a tiny tank at various abuse parks, only to amuse visitors.
The orca did display many strange traits that are usually uncommon like biting on concrete which led to its teeth being worn down. It also used to float on water out of sheer boredom which again were clear signs that it was not happy in the environment, PETA confirmed.
