Dozens of protesters were seen trying to block the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
They were chanting slogans against the government and Israel for the conflict taking place in the Gaza region.
The incident kicked off with a lot of drama and pouring rain while temperatures remained frigid and drove crowds away.
At least 21 anti-Israel protesters were also taken into custody by the cops as they tried to disrupt the parade located on Sixth Avenue, WABC reported.
For the second year in a row, the company tried to bring in a giant Ronald McDonald float to put an end to the parade.
Crowds were seen booing the protesters wearing rain ponchos and flags of Palestine while cops tried long and hard to swarm them.
The scenes were of utter chaos and many wondered what the crowd would do next as tensions were certainly witnessed escalating across the board.
A whopping 3 million people were said to be in attendance at the yearly holiday event that kicked off again today in NYC. This is where a long lineup of stars were seen performing like Jennifer Hudson and Idina Menzel.
The yearly parade had close to 17 helium-filled characters in action while 22 floats and 15 novelty with heritage arose. There were also 11 marching bands with 700 clowns and other award-winning singers and actors taking part in the parade.
