Jennifer Garner seems like she’s got some marriage advice to share but it might be more like throwing shade on her ex-husband’s former wife.
The two-time divorcee says she’s got the magical formula for marriage success and that involves not trying to change your man after getting married.
Speaking on a recent podcast, the actress was asked to share her favorite quote or mantra on life. This is where she shared her advice of wisdom from her mother Patricia Garner.
She says you should never expect to marry an individual thinking you can change him. They will remain the same, even after marriage.
Those who hold high hopes of marrying someone that they believe has flaws that they need to work on post-marriage are sadly mistaken, the star continued.
She went on to reveal during the podcast how marrying a man does not mean the partner can or has the right to change them.
“Falling in love with someone and expecting them to be the same version of themselves is the best way to go about the situation”- she continued.
The news comes after Ben and JLo’s divorce took center stage where she reportedly acted as the mediator to try and ensure these two could keep it together.
The 52-year-old says she’s not quoting her life’s mistake but just her general observation. And clearly, she’s speaking with great experience.
