Local media outlets were quick to speak about how the incident resulted in a rise of death related to fake booze in Istanbul with only seven being discharged after getting immediate medical attention.

Police managed to seize more than 516 bottles of brewed alcohol today as one owner of a tobacco show was also taken into custody over questionable products that might not be safe for human health.

Authorities are advising travelers about the incident and also warning them to stop purchasing drinks from shady locations that offer contamination.
Many of the products seized had methanol which is a low-cost but deadly chemical added to make drinks stronger.
