Sources from local media outlets shared how passengers experienced low air pressure in the cabin area that was detected by the pilots before an announcement for an emergency landing was made by the captain.

Many feared for the worse while others sat in fear and silence, hoping for a miracle.

Others spoke about texting loved ones about the ordeal as they returned home from the holidays.

Footage shows the exact moment that oxygen masks were deployed after the Airbus A318 faced a technical issue after the flight took off.

17 minutes from the moment of take-off, the plane started to malfunction and the air pressure inside the cabin got lowered to a serious extent.

The plane was on its way to Barcelona, Spain but couldn’t manage to reach the destination after the pilots made the decision to turn the airplane back around and carry out an emergency landing.

The crew declared emergency at 9:45 and the plane returned to Paris, France where it safely landed as all passengers remained safe on board.
