A snowboarder tragically passed away after falling down from a chairlift.
According to reports from local media outlets, the incident took place after the chairlift at the Montana ski resort was facing a mechanical issue.
The victim was identified as Jeffrey Zinne who died while riding alone in a three-person chairlift at the Red Lodge Mountain resort during the morning hours.
He was pronounced dead early Wednesday after suffering from serious injuries after the fall, as per the local county coroner.
This lift experienced a serious mechanical problem during that time when the fall took place, as per the resort’s spokesperson.
He declined to comment further on the tragedy and stated that the circumstances were still under investigation to figure out what exactly went wrong on that day.
More than 100 people were said to be on the lift at that time. They were evacuated by ski patrollers who used ropes to lower them down to the ground safely.
Zinne was hailed as the most devoted husband and the most caring father to his two-year-old son by loved ones who say his passion for life, kind hearted nature, and infectious laugh can never be forgotten.
