Becoming a parent is never an easy job.
Whether you’re having your first, second, or even tenth child, it will always come with its set of obstacles. But something that no parent is ever ready for, is to know that your child will be afflicted by an genetic disorder that will affect the way they interact with others.
It’s almost impossible to imagine what life will be like for the child, or even the parents. Ungrudgingly parents will often learn to adapt around their children’s schedules and make sure that the needs of the child are being met. The sacrifices parents make on behalf of their children are a small token of their love, in the hopes of making their lives a little bit simpler for their children.

At 2 years old, Timothy, Tricia Klein’s son was diagnosed with nonverbal autism. Everyday, both Timothy and Tricia are met with a new set of daily challenges, but interacting with other children has been an especially difficult challenge for Timothy. Despite Timothy’s struggles, other parents often reach out to Tricia and her son. But Tricia often has to declines invitations to parties.
But when Timothy’s receives a note from his classmate’s mother, it brings Tricia to tears.

Since Tricia’s son, Timothy, had difficult time to spend time in large groups because of nonverbal autism, she would have to decline all party invitations. But one mother of Timothy’s friends sent a note to Tricia to invite Timothy to the party.

The note said: “Carter sat beside Timothy at school and he always talks about him.
I really hope he can come.We are renting a bounce castle that we can attach a small bounce slide at the bottom.
We will also have water balloons and water guns. Maybe Timothy can come earlier in the day if it would too much with the whole class. Let me know so we can make it work.”

Tricia shed tears of gratitude, and the final phrase “we can make it work” truly moved her.
