Who doesn’t love to dance? What if this dance is designed in such a way that it can give you a perfect shaped body and strong muscles with a reduction of some extra kilos? Jaime Allison, 40, and her daughter Calista Jean Jones, 18, have reduced a combined total of 184 pounds by just following this workout program called Jazzercise.
In January 2016, both mother and daughter started this venture with a thought of hooking up till the end of this dance class at Jazzercise studio, Alabama.
Judi Sheppard Missett is the pioneer of this effective workout.
She launched this Jazzercise workout in 1969. This workout is described as a “high-intensity dance party that fuses cardio, strength, Pilates, hip hop, yoga, and kickboxing.” According to the company’s website, Jazzercisers can burn up to 800 calories during each 60-minute class.
For Calista and Allison, this workout wasn’t just a mean to burn some fat but rather an opportunity to connect with one another.
While giving an interview, Allison told that this weight loss journey was wholly a relationship uplifting experience for both of them.
According to Allison, it was a really hard time of life for her to bring up a daughter and watch her went through all those obesity problems and self-insecurities which she had been dealing with her whole life.
She said that she always wanted her daughter to look up to her and now she thinks that she has achieved what she wanted.They worked as a team, made the right food choices for each other, and motivated one another every day.
It is just one single moment and one right choice that can give a life-changing experience. Allison and Calista proved to the world that getting out of your comfort zone and pertaining self-love is a great step to a healthier lifestyle.
