Lisa West Williams said that she couldn’t see any dry eye around her while she captured the moment of a fallen soldier come home to his wife and family.
She captured this moment in Raleigh, North Carolina and everyone around was sobbing. As Lisa herself is a sister of a former Army soldier who served in Iraq, she felt like home and got all emotional seeing the soldier come home like that.
The U.S. Army Soldier and Warrant Officer who is known as Shawn Thomas was serving his time in Niger, Africa and the serviceman died on Feb 2 because of injuries caused by a non-combat vehicle accident.
Thomas was a Green Beret of the 1st Battalion and 3rd Special Forces Group and was working in the civil affairs and training troops against terrorism.
Thomas joined the Special Forces group in the Fort Bragg in 2008, North Carolina but then he was promoted to warrant officer eight years later.
Thomas has been deployed many times as he has served in Iraq and Afghanistan and earned awards which included two Bronze Stars.
When Thomas’s casket was brought everyone embellished in American Patriotism even his wife. The wife kneeled and lowered her head while mourning for her husband and everyone around was silent.
The pilot made an announcement thanking all the people to wait patiently and then Lisa uploaded this video on social media. Many users sent their condolences to the family and wife.
Some users thanked the soldier for serving so bravely for the country and nation. It is impressive to see how these brave men fight for our country and protect us in every way they can, and Thomas was indeed strong and courageous.
We thank you, Shawn Thomas, for serving our country and praise his full for supporting and sacrificing while her husband was in service.
