According to the wife of this 64-years-old man, he left with his dog named Daisy for a hiking trip in Eatonville, Washington.
He often used to take his dog with him for this hiking activity, but this time, they both didn’t return till the sunset which made the old man’s wife a bit concerned.
She contacted the local police in the town but she was unaware of the hiking site he went to.
The police started their search operations and found a clue that this man might have gone to Even Creek area.
Local police searched the Even Creek area the whole day and finally were able to find the old man’s car. Inside his car, they found a handwritten list of geocaching locations that might be written by the old man.So they instantaneously started searching those areas.
After an hour, a deputy among the team heard a dog’s bark which was coming from a distance.
This deputy started following the sound as it was coming from the thick woods.
It took him an additional 30 minutes to reach the dog’s location who was found sitting on a steep edge of Marshall River. Further, the sheriff’s department told that the dog appeared according to the description told by the old man’s wife about Daisy.On arriving at Daisy’s location, local police found the old man’s dead body who looked as he had a fall.
The teams were successfully able to rescue the dog, who spent two days and one long night standing by his owner, and recover the deceased body of the old man.
Sheriff’s department told that it was a really sad incident after a long search of two days but the deputies, as well as the local people, helped a lot in the rescuing process. He also added that without the help of this loyal dog Daisy, they would never be able to find the body of this deceased old-man.
