Moviemaking is a tedious and difficult process that can easily have mistakes.
As a result, things might end up different than the script. Many of the scenes are edited and retaken but sometimes these mistakes end up making the movie into a masterpiece.
Below are 11 scenes that were mistakes on the set, but ended up as masterpieces.
1. Midnight Cowboy
The scene where the main characters are almost hit by a taxi was not in the original script. But Dustin Hoffman didn’t stop after the mistake but improvised where he remarked at the driver. As a result, the famous phrase “Hey, can’t you see I’m walking here?!” was born in the movie.
2. Titanic

It’s famous that DiCaprio likes to improvise and add something unique to his characters. The famous phrase “I’m the king of the world!” from Titanic was also an improvisation.
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The mistake appeared in the scene where Ron and Harry turn into Crabbe and Goyle with the help of a magic potion and meet Malfoy in the hallway. The following dialogue occurs between Malfoy and Harry, who has forgotten to remove his glasses:
— Why are you wearing glasses?
— I was reading.
— Reading? I didn’t know you could read.
The last phrase was pure improvisation because Tom Felton simply forgot his line. But the sarcastic phrase matched the character of Malfoy so well that it was left in the movie.
4. Rocky
Sylvester Stallone was running through a real market when the jogging scene was filmed because the budget of the movie was not big enough for crowd scenes. During one of the jog takes, a seller threw an orange at him. Stallone didn’t stop but instead caught the orange, and thanked the seller. This scene was left in the movie.
5. Mission: Impossible 2
Tom Cruise’s acting partner nearly poked his eye out during the shoot when he swung a knife at Tom. Fortunately, a safety cable at the handle of the knife saved both actors.

7. The Godfather
According to the original script, Don Corleone didn’t own a cat. The cat simply appeared on the set, and Marlon Brando took it in his hands. A surprisingly contrasting scene was born where Don Corleone is gently stroking the cat and at the same time speaking about beating up a man.
8. Thor: The Dark World
Chris Hemsworth entered his flat and hung his hammer up on the rack, this funny improvisation matched the nature of the character so well that the scene was left in the movie.
9. Spider-Man
The scene where Spider-Man learns to use his spiderweb was an improvisation. Tobey Maguire decided that it would be a good idea to add a moment where Peter is learning to be a superhero. The scene turned out to be so good that the scene stayed in the final version of the movie.
10. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The scene where Aragorn beats off a knife flying at him was pretty cool. But actually, the actor throwing the knife missed, and the knife really was heading toward Viggo Mortensen. He managed to beat it off, resulting in a very real scene.

The face recognition scene was an improvisation of the actors. At first, it was supposed to be a serious scene, but the actors kept fooling around and making fun of each other. Finally, the producer left everything as it was, and it became the main scene of the movie.
