A woman has been arrested after breaking into the house of a random family and doing their dishes before leaving empty-handed.
The Ohio culprit was apprehended after the family called the police when they saw the woman, who was high on drugs at the time of the break-in, playing with their dog.
Cheyenne Ewing allegedly sneaked into the Hamden home through the backdoor of the house on Monday, May 6, at around 9 in the morning.
According to the homeowner, Cheyenne first sat down on their sofa and played with their dog. She then stood up, washed the dishes, and left.
While the woman was exploring the house, the owner called the police and reported what they believed to be a burglary.
After the Vinton County Sheriff authorities arrived at the scene, Cheyenne had already left. As the homeowners told the officers, they didn’t know or invite Cheyenne into their home. They also claimed she was “acting very strange.”
Fortunately, the officers apprehended the woman after other neighbors reported a strange woman knocking on their doors.
As the police soon realized, the woman was under the influence of drugs. She also gave them a false name when they arrested her.
Following an inquest into the alleged break-in, Cheyenne was charged with burglary. While in custody, she told the police that she’d been awake for 2 days at the time she committed the crime.
