Citizens in the UK have long been bombarded with news about knife and acid attacks.
While it’s one thing to read about them in the news, one incident put a harsh spotlight on the problem after video footage emerged that showed a gang chasing down their victim before stabbing him in the back several times in London.
The stabbing, which is believed to have occurred in North West London in the afternoon, left the young man, believed to be in his 20s, seriously injured.
He was discovered just before 3:30 pm on June 11,2019 near Willesden Magistrates’ Court in Brent, London. The man bore several stab wounds in the back.
When he first received medical care, he was fighting for his life. But since then, it was reported that the victim’s condition has improved.
As if the fact that a brutal knife attack had happened, it appeared that one of the man’s attackers had actually filmed the attack. The clip has since made the rounds in social media. The video shows the assailant filming the man, who was already wounded and bragging about the victim’s injuries in front of the camera.
The shocking footage begins with a group of gang members running down the victim at Chapel Close. Some of them were on bicycles while the others were on foot. The one who filmed the video, however, was in a car and can be heard cackling while following the group from behind.
The hooded thugs manage to catch up to their victim and the vehicle stops to allow the one filming the whole thing to join them. The gang members can be observed punching, kicking, and stabbing the victim who is lying prone on the ground.
The second clip shows the victim still face down but with the wall next to him stained with a huge amount of his own blood.
The gang member who was filming the whole thing gesticulates at the wounded man while insulting him and threatening his mother.
As the footage comes to an end, all that can be heard is the victim’s quiet moans of pain.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 15:26hrs on Tuesday, 11 June,2019, to Chapel Close at the junction with Chancery Crescent, NW10.
A man, believed to be in his early 20’s, was found at the scene with multiple stab wounds.
