The 16-year-old sister of an Indiana boy who passed away more than two years ago made a dress to help her deceased brother accomplish one of his biggest dreams.
Antonio Frierson was accidentally shot by his friend while playing with a gun. Sadly, the incident took his life. He wanted to attend prom with his sister but he could no longer fulfill his wish.
His sister, Antonett, decided to make his dream come true by bringing her deceased brother to prom.
Designer Mariah Jackson shipped lace to create the beautiful gown that features Frierson’s face from top to bottom.
Speaking about her gown, Antonett told Fox: “I took my memories and imagination and created something I can vision. I feel amazing. I feel like I’m not going for just one. I should’ve bought two tickets.
“I just didn’t pick just any picture of his face or because it’s a clear picture of his face. Every picture on that dress has a story.”
The gown shows her brother smiling and reveals his passion for football. The dress covers Antonett’s arms with purple embellishments and sheer fabric and has Swarovski crystals.
This loving sister wanted to pay tribute to her brother after his friend accidentally killed him. Micah Sanders was released after pleading guilty to possession of a weapon. He stayed in prison for some time but the victim’s family believes he was shot on purpose.
“This wasn’t an accident. You don’t accidentally shoot someone in the forehead,” they said in 2017.
Antonett also said: “You see the person that killed him just being able to go to social media and say this is what I ate today and say what is happening in life. I can’t see that. I can’t talk to him.”
Mother Angelyca Dossa was very happy with the results of the gown. “Now that the dress is made, it’s even more beautiful than we thought it would be,” she expressed.
