Vladimir Putin has bragged that liberalism in the US and Europe has outlasted its purpose and called the decision for the allowance of millions of migrants into the European Union a cardinal mistake as the G20 summit in Osaka initiated with him sharing affectionate words with the US President Donald Trump.
The Russian President criticized the views of the West on multiculturalism, immigration, and gay rights that he said were an attack on the traditional family values.
In an interview, the Russian leader stated that the liberal idea was on its way out since the people turned their backs on these problems. He also said that Angela Merkel, German chancellor, made a cardinal mistake in her decision of 2017 for the allowance of a million refugees into the country.
Mr. Putin further claimed that the liberal idea presupposes nothing has to be done. He added that the migrants could rape, plunder, and kill with impunity as their rights as migrants need to be protected.
He further added that every crime should have its punishment and that the liberal idea has now become obsolete.
The G20 (countries with the fastest-growing and largest economies) planned to meet in Osaka, Japan.
The first major meeting took place between Russia’s leader and Donald Trump, where the US President called the relationship with the leader as very, very good. He further added that it was an honor to be with President Putin.
A special moment then went after their handshake as the US President smilingly pleaded Putin to not meddle in the election.
In contradiction, the Russian leader faced a far colder head-to-head with a grim-faced Theresa May as they shook hands.
