If you’re looking for a chance to rub elbows with British royalty on a regular basis, then your dream job may have just opened up.
Meghan Markle’s life has changed in so many remarkable ways ever since she officially became part of the royal family in 2018 but one of the few things that have remained the same is her well-known love for dogs. And that relationship has opened up the latest job opportunity hinted at earlier.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are proud owners to a black Labrador and a rescue dog. Markle took the latter with her to the UK in 2017 after moving over from Toronto.
Katie Nicholl, the royal biographer, says that the royal couple is searching for a professional dog walker who will be there to take their dogs for strolls in Windsor Castle and to take care of the pooches while they are busy fulfilling royal duties.
In an article for Vanity Fair, Nicholl wrote, “The couple loves being outdoors, and they take Archie for long pram walks in Home Park, although due to their hectic schedules, they are privately advertising for a dog walker for their black Labrador and Meghan’s rescue dog, Guy.”
She also revealed that since getting married in 2018, the couple has adopted aspects of each other’s ways. For example, Markle tends to use some Britishisms more like saying “bits and bobs” while Harry has supposedly bought into Markle’s healthy lifestyle.
“Friends say Harry has ‘changed for the better’ since meeting Meghan,'” wrote Nicholl.
“Once a royal rebel, he now starts his mornings with a green juice (blended by Meghan) and practices meditation; he has quit smoking and rarely drinks alcohol,” she added.
“Their life at Frogmore is one of domestic bliss, amazingly ordinary. ‘It’s like their private oasis and sanctuary,’ says a friend. ‘It’s lovely and cozy, and they are very happy there.'”
The recently renovated Frogmore Cottage welcomed the royal couple to its grounds earlier this year as they prepared for the birth of baby Archie.
But there are rumors that the couple may find themselves spending more time in South Africa on a working sabbatical with their visit to that country later this year just the start.
