Loving dogs, at first sight, is normal for dog lovers, but falling in love with a stray dog can be risky due to multiple safety reasons.

Maxx Powell, a Youtuber, and firefighter experienced an interesting incident when he found a lost dog on the roadside.

In the video shared by Powell’s YouTube channel, while he was on an outdoor adventure, he encountered a dog that he named “Merlin”. The dog was moving across the road, along the train tracks.

Powell stopped and called to the dog, worrying that it would be hit by any vehicle if left out alone.

According to Newsflare video caption on Rumble, Powell said, “I thought it would definitely be exciting to record the encounter.

I did not want her wandering here and potentially getting hit by a train or a car”.

Powell was well aware of the fact that the dog would be scared of him, but he was pleasantly surprised when he found that the dog was friendly to him.

Powell took the dog to an animal clinic to find out any identification chip. Surprisingly, the dog not only had a chip but also the dog he called as a male was actually a female.

Powell mentioned several times in the video that he became attached to the stray dog. He even mentioned that having a husky was his dream.

When Powell posted about “Merlin” on social media, her owner was able to identify her. According to Rumble, the owner said that he was very grateful that Powell got her.

The owner further added, “If he had not of got there, she would have been gone because that train would have come through no matter what.”

Powell told that finding this stray dog on the roadside and bringing it to the clinic had really changed their plans for the day. It is worth helping a lost dog. He further noted in his Youtube caption, “Huskies are known to slip away and run miles and miles”.
