Look outside your window, what do you see? Is it the sun in the sky shining too bright and heating everything up? Yes, summers are here but with mega heat waves that aim to melt us all down.
The rise in the temperature is making humans as well as other creatures uncomfortable and it is becoming hard to survive.
For a country like Britain that lives with a low temperature almost all year round, does not have a habit of living in a warmed up land. Imagine you have to work in the same situation rather than having a chilled out day at home in your comfy clothes. Horrible isn’t it?
Well, looking at the condition of the weather in the country, the employers will have to let the workers go home when the temperatures rise more than 30c, and if the worker is a manual worker then they will be allowed to drop the work for the day and go home when the temperatures rise above 27c.
There are other measures that the employers have been suggested to take like air conditioning up the workplace, letting the dress code go away for the time being so that the employees can be comfortable, they will have to let them take more breaks so the employees do not exhaust themselves and at the same time are productive too, etc.
Laura Pidcock said “As we all can feel, this week is rising up on the scale and the heat is torturing us. For the employers, it is important to understand what is right for their employees and what can save them from being unproductive or fall sick.
Global warming is giving us a warning and we have to face it. We have no escape.”
We humans are the reason for global warming and not nature is playing its revenge. Thankfully, in a few years, the problem will go away as humans are taking measures to save the world we live in now.
