Emily McGuire loves to receive her Amazon shipments but one particular package which arrived on her place at her 39th birthday completely took her off guard.
When the mom of three received the shipment this time, she was over the moon because it wasn’t an ordinary one. It was a three-layer buttercream and chocolate cake shaped to resemble an Amazon package.
Turned out, Emily’s husband Mac was the one who arranged for this heartwarming surprise.
The birthday cake – whose minute details made it look just like a shipment – was designed by Inspiring Grounds and Sweet Dreams Bakery in Dunn, North Carolina.
On top of the sweet treat, Emily’s address was jotted down as “1234 Birthday Lane” in “Happy Birthday, 2U.”
The cake had a USPS priority mail shipping label created from wafer paper and sugar on its top, besides a strip of packing tape with “Amazon Prime” logo running down its center.
Emily, who’s also a photographer, couldn’t have got a better gift.
“As soon as I saw the cake, I was like, ‘He gets me,’” Emily said of her husband Mac, who is in the military. “I felt so understood!” she told NBC’s Today.
The woman explained how she would make a purchase on Amazon at least thrice a week, purchasing items that she usually comes across on a Facebook page, Erica’s Deals, Steals, & Finds.

“I just ordered a maxi dress and a watermelon slicer. If I need something, I look on Amazon first,” she said, adding how Mac never minds. “He just laughs at this point.”
Ever since Emily shared the photos of the amazing treat on social media, Inspiring Grounds and Sweet Dreams Bakery has been receiving a flood of similar requests from the customers.
Brent Norris, who co-owns the bakery with his wife Trena, told Today: “We’ve been getting lots of calls from people who want the cake. The phone keeps ringing.”

Social media users couldn’t get enough of the cake. “That cake has my name written all over it!” one person wrote.
Another person commented: “I need this. I seriously have a package coming every day this week and two more before the 31st.”
