Speeding is not a crime but it is offensive.

Most of the streets have a speed limit assigned to it and if a car droves by the street with a higher speed then the limit, the driver is eligible to get a driving ticket.

But the law enforcement officers are not always around and at such a time, who is responsible for keeping the local people safe?

Well, this was a problem this particular street in Nottingham was facing that is when this granny decided to scare away the speeding drivers to make them drop their speed.

Jean Brooks, is a 64 years old woman who lives in Nottingham. She has lived there forever and never wishes to leave her house.

Recently after a tragedy in her family, as her son-in-law passed away because of cancer she opened a café in the yard of her house to be able to raise funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Because of the same, she has to spend most of her time in the yard from where the street is clearly visible.

She says “It is a busy street with cars going up and down all the time. The problem is they are rushing the cars on a very high speed which is dangerous. The street has a pickup point for school kids too. This is why I had to do something.”

One of her friends told her about how in France a person used a hairdryer to portray it as a gun to get his work done and that is where she got the idea from.

She now points the hairdryer to the speeding cars from her backyard and the cars slow down. A video of her doing the same was recorded and it is going viral now. It has already received 12 million views.
