Parents across the globe have praised Kate Middleton’s priceless reaction when her daughter, Princess Charlotte, stuck out her tongue to the crowds at the recent charity yachting regatta.
The mother-of-three encouraged her darling daughter to wave at the crowd in King’s Cup Regatta at Cowes, Isle of Wight, but the four-year-old had some other ideas in her mind.
“Just when you thought it couldn’t get any cuter than the Princess wave,” Instyle Magazine wrote as they shared the adorable moment on social media.
“Kate’s reaction is absolutely priceless.”
When the little princess stuck out her tongue at the audience instead of waving her hand, her mom knew what she had to do.
The Duchess of Cambridge erupted into laughter and threw a grin at the audience as if she was asking them whether they had seen the enchanting look of her little daughter or not.
People across the world are amazed at how beautifully the duchess handled the situation.
“Kate blows my mind with her grace here! She is so beautiful,” a netizen wrote on social media. “I love Kate’s reaction,” said another.
“Just a normal child! You can’t control their every move. Kate’s response was fantastic!” one person wrote.
“Love it! She’s normal! So is her mom,” a user said of the princess and the duchess.
While some people argued that such unruly gesture didn’t suit a royal child, others debated that it was absolutely normal for a four-year-old.
“Kids are the equalizer. It doesn’t matter who you are,” a person wrote in defense of the lovely princess.
“Movie star, doctor, athlete, or royal, kids don’t care and it’s their world and they’re going to do what they do. And if you think otherwise…you probably don’t have kids.”
Some people said that Princess Charlotte made their day by her innocent gesture. “Charlotte is an entire mood,” one user remarked.
It’s not the first time Charlotte had stuck out her tongue at the audience, she did the same with the people gathered in the RAF flypast last year.
Her uncle, Prince Harry, also did the same cheeky act in 1987, when he was a kid.
The King’s Cup Regatta 2019 was held to raise money for the charities supported by the royal couple.
After the event had started, little Charlotte and her brother George watched their mom and dad competing against each other.
Kate and William, both 37, played well, but unfortunately, none of them managed to win the first spot.
The duchess came seventh – second to last – while Prince William came third in the competition.
