A 40-year-old virgin man, who has never had a girlfriend, is looking for a girlfriend and hoping to find one before his birthday.
George Handley, who lives in Arnold, Nottingham, suffers from Asperger syndrome, social anxiety, and depression and he believes he couldn’t find a girl because of these.
Now, he wants to settle down and is looking for a girlfriend after winning the Derby Telegraph’s letter of the week competition and receiving a luxury afternoon tea for two.
Since he doesn’t have a girlfriend, he is unable to claim his prize.
Handley is now searching for a partner to go on a date with. He says that he never got enough opportunities in having relationships but now, he wants someone to settle down with.
He told Derbyshire Live: “I have had little opportunities in having relationships. I want what other people take for granted.”
He says that his depression and social anxiety made it difficult for him to meet new people and this is why he couldn’t find anyone.
“I have tried everything to meet people but my depression and social anxiety has not really helped. It’s been so hard to tell people in case it puts them off”, he says.
Now, he wants to have a family of his own but it has always been difficult for him to find the right person. He is now looking for a girlfriend and hoping to find one before his birthday so he could go on a trip to Bournemouth for his birthday.
He said: “I would like to have a family of my own. It’s very difficult to find the right person. I would like someone to go on a trip with to Bournemouth for my birthday.”
“I am looking for someone who is a bit younger as I am trying to catch up with a lot of things.”
