Britain’s torrential wet weather means the presence of a number of insects especially spiders in British houses.
The spiders scare several people and many people feel cringy about these creatures. To catch these spiders and throw them outside the house is a task for almost everyone and therefore, Aldi has come up with a solution.
Making efficient use of the opportunity, Aldi is now selling a spider catcher. This way even those who easily get squeamish can remove the creepy creatures from their home without causing any harm.
The device comes with soft bristles that contain the eight-legged creatures and can be easily released outside.
Aldi ensures that the device can also be used to capture moths, daddy long legs and butterflies. And because it is the perfect time for the creatures to intrude, the spider cacher will prove to be highly useful.
The catcher comprises of a 68 cm plastic rod to enable its users to easily reach ceilings and places where spiders make their webs.
To use it, one needs to aim the catcher’s bristles towards the insect and then gently squeeze the handles to close the bristles. Once the catcher has caught the creature, it can be released outside.
Aldi will sell the catchers in stores and from August 25, the catchers will be available online at £7.99 only. They can be pre-ordered but come with a delivery charge. The website offers free delivery for orders above £20 but charges £2.95 for orders below £20.
So, if you are planning to buy the spider catcher alone, you will have to pay £10.94. However, one can easily wait for the catchers to arrive in stores and locate the nearest Aldi store using Aldi’s branch locator.
Amazon is also selling the exact same catcher for £14.99 with free Prime delivery, and that is almost double the amount of what Aldi is charging.
