A dog named Ruby was nervous and anxious before her spay surgery but the veterinarian went out of his way to make her comfortable.
The vet named Dr. Ross Henderson sang a song to the scared dog before her surgery.
The 28-year-old vet works at the Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, and practices with his father, Anthony Henderson, and brother Ryan.
Henderson has always loved singing and playing the guitar. He often performs for the office cat, Greg.
He believes that music makes animals feel calmer. It reduces their anxiety and this is why he decided to sing a song to the scared dog before her surgery.
The video shows Henderson pulling out his guitar and getting down on the floor to sing a song to the scared dog.
He sang the Elvis Presley song “Can’t Help Falling In Love”.
“It was a special moment,” Henderson told TODAY. “They just love us like crazy. You can’t repay for how much they give to us.”
The adorable video went viral after it was posted online. Internet users praised the kind-hearted vet for comforting the dog before her surgery.
One user wrote: ‘His patients and their human parents are lucky to have such a loving and dedicated doctor…’ while another said: ‘This is why I love you all so much. Thank you for all that you do and being of true and pure hearts’.
