Actor Sean Bean has put his foot down as he announced he refuses to accept roles in films in which he would be killed off after dying on screen for 23 times.
Among other deaths, the UK-born 60-year-old actor got beheaded in The Game of Thrones and shot at by scary-looking Uruk-hai leader in The Lord of the Rings.
After announcing he’s tired of dying over and over, fans have come up with hilarious memes that show just how serious the actor’s concerns are.
“I just had to cut that out and start surviving, otherwise it was all a bit predictable,” Sean said in an interview with The Sun.
“I did do one job and they said, ‘We’re going to kill you’, and I was like, ‘Oh no!’ and then they said, ‘Well, can we injure you badly?’ and I was like, ‘OK, so long as I stay alive this time.’
“I’ve played a lot of baddies, they were great but they weren’t very fulfilling — and I always died.”
And as it turns out, Sean’s fans are just as tired of seeing him die as he is. Back in 2014, they launched a campaign under the hashtag #dontkillseanbean.
