Climate Action and Environment Minister of The Republic of Ireland, Richard Bruton announced their plans of cutting down the waste disposal by 60% and wastage of food by 50%.

Ireland is all set to reduce plastic waste by permanently closing down on plastic cutlery, wraps, food packages and all kinds of one time use plastic to the plastic out of the landfills of the country, Richard Bruton announced as a new scheme of the government in order to reduce plastic waste at the Waste Summit held in Dublin on this Monday.

As we all know that plastic is the greatest pollutant and stays on the Earth for thousands and thousands of years, Ireland has decided to completely cut down the use of the plastic that cannot be used again.

This includes the one-time-use plastic cutlery, straws, packaging, etc.

This step will help the government in cutting down the day to day plastic used in order to cut down a massive amount of plastic waste. Companies will also be fined if they do not use recyclable plastic.

The summit had more than 100 participants who were representatives of various industrials companies, and plastic management companies. They were all called in for the discussion of the plan and to face all the problems they may face.

The Irish government has several goals in reducing waste and one of it is reducing the food waste that happens in the country by 60%. This will help in saving space in the landfills that otherwise will fill down 60% faster.

The government of Ireland has taken its decision but we cannot wait for our government to take initiative. The government of your nation will do their part as soon as they can but it is time for you to act up before it is too late.
