How do you think accidents happen? Sometimes it is the faith that leads you on the path but most of the times it is your lack of attention to things that can lead you into trouble.
This is the exact same thing that happened to this woman who went swimming with her contact lenses on and ended up getting microscopic parasite latched on the cornea of her eye, leaving her blind temporarily.

49 years old Stacey Peoples, went to a cabin with her family on the weekend of the 4th of July.
She was found infected with acanthamoeba keratitis, in the infection the amoeba that comes in contact with the eye, eats up the outer most layer of the eye. Due to the same, Stacey lost the vision in her left eye.
Stacey is a mother of four who decided to go for the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. She went swimming on her vacation. Her eye had turned red and within no time she was in terrible pain and never left her room.
She was then rushed to a hospital where the doctors misdiagnosed her with conjunctivitis in 2014.
After that, she was rushed to Traverse City, Michigan where the doctors found out what has happened to her and till then her vision was all blurry.
Medical experts said that this infection is spreading throughout and affects the people who have their contact lenses on when they are in a pool or when the lenses are still on the eye, comes into contact with water.
The less attracts amoeba that leaves the eye in a terrible condition. This is why it is important to take the utmost care if you wear contact lenses. Keep the precautions and you can save yourself from a lot coming your way.
