43-year-old Stephanie Pokorny, from Ohio, is a crochet artist and pattern designer. She makes incredible Halloween crochet costumes for her four boys.
She spends between 40-50 hours creating each outfit and adds in as much detail as she can. The outfits are incredibly beautiful and also help her to keep her kids warm as she lives in a cold climate.
Stephanie told Metro.co.uk: “I actually began crocheting at 16 when my grandma taught me. She used to create small lap blankets for our local Veterans Hospital and I would watch her work.”
“The costumes each take about 40-50 hours of work time which I usually spread over about two weeks. Each year, I work to improve my skills so I can achieve the highest amount of detail and realism for my boys, so I would have to say that each newest costume is the one that tests my skills the most.”
She says it’s her kids who pick the characters and she then makes the Halloween outfit for them.
She said: “The actual characters I make are entirely up to my kids. They get to pick anything.”
“We are a family that is very much into vintage and original versions [of films], and with parents of the 80s and 90s, most often it will be characters from them as we watch movies or cartoons of that time.”
She posts her creations on her social media accounts.
Her Instagram page (@crochetverse) has more than 12k followers and everyone just loves her Halloween outfits that she makes for her four boys. You can follow her on Instagram to see her creations and her amazing Halloween crochet costumes.
