Losing a parent is one of the most devastating moments of our lives.
As a child, we could not even think of living without either of our parents but as we grow up and become an individual, we are not really depended on our parents any more in the sense of finance as well as emotionally.
But this never means we are not devastated with their loss, it just means that with a little time, we will be able to move on in our lives.
While there are several out there who could move on from their parents, the loss of her mother is something that makes her weep even after 9 years of her mother’s death.
Whoopi Goldberg says that no one in the world could love her the way her mother loved her and it was only after her death that she realized how much she was dependent on her mother emotionally.
While grieving for her mother years later, she says that until her mother was alive, they both shared a phenomenal bond.
She said that her mother loved her the most and she had never seen such a great person after her.
She said “Since she is gone, I feel alone. We had this amazing bond and she was always my greatest support in everything.
She loved me beyond limits and now that she is gone for years, I cannot seem to control how not to miss her each day.
No one has ever loved me the way she did and I know no one will ever love me the way my mother did.
She was the greatest person I have ever known. And I am so proud to be her daughter. It took me a couple of days to realize that my support system has gone but I know I have to deal with it now.”
