Ethan Taylor claims that he wriggled his weight while growing up.
However, a couple of years ago as a sophomore of college, he took a decision to commit himself to change.
Posterior years of lack of exercise and late-night snacking, Ethan hit 368 lbs. So, he restored his diet and began running. In the beginning, he was able to jog merely a quarter of a mile.
Nevertheless, he did not give up. 18 months later, he finished his first marathon last week in 4 hours, 44 minutes and 56 seconds, running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
The 21-year-old boy happily stated that he beat his goal time by 4 seconds. He added, “It feels pretty cool to be able to complete something that massive.”
A resident of Rockford, Illinois, Taylor believes that all his thriving was worth it.
Although he gained a few pounds again because of eating more while training, he had lost 184 pounds and is now about half his previous weight.
Taylor claims, “I’m happier with who I am and how I look. It’s a 180-degree flip for me. It’s awesome.”
The 5 feet 6 inches tall guy claimed that he never had his breakfast. He rather used to eat large portions along with soda, chips, various kinds of sweets and a big sandwich during his dinner. He also shared that he regularly snacked on doughnuts, ice cream, and chips.
Taylor used to “make [himself] a whole other meal” late at night. 6 months later, he began to run, slowly building up to longer distances.
Eventually, he wishes to spread the message that change is possible.
He says, “I want to show people and myself that you can go from one extreme to the other.”
