Greta Thunberg has once again spoken out not only about her disorder but also about President Donald Trump whom she believes talking to would be a “waste of time.
”
The teen eco-warrior recently appeared in The Ellen Show where she was asked about her passion for the environment, her life with the Asperger’s syndrome, and, of course, her thoughts about Donald Trump.
Replying to whether she would want to talk with the US president about climate change, the young activist said:
“I don’t understand why I would do that. I don’t see what I could tell him that he hasn’t already heard. And I just think it would be a waste of time, really.”
Speaking of her passion for activism and the preservation of our planet, Thunberg added:
“I just couldn’t really believe it, because if this was really true then surely someone must have done something, then surely we would take it seriously.
“But no one took it seriously, so I started to read about it and of course the more I read about it and the more I understood and once I fully understood I couldn’t just look away anymore.”
Greta Thunberg has been praised around the globe for her selfless efforts ever since she took to the path of activism and began encouraging others to follow her example and scientific facts.
On top of that, it was Greta’s dramatic, emotion-filled speech, along with the ‘death stare’ at Trump, at the UN Climate Change Summit that earned her global recognition and millions of followers.
During her appearance in the talk show, Greta was also asked about her condition, the Asperger’s disorder, and the impact it has on her life and decisions to which the 16-year-old responded by saying:
“In this society everyone is the same, everyone thinks the same. And I think it is a gift to be different and if you are on the autism spectrum you are different.
“And especially in a crisis like this, we need to think outside the box. We need people who think differently and that means people who work differently can be a good resource for that.”
