A buyer accidentally crashed a brand new Porsche worth $250,000 only minutes away from the showroom.
Fortunately, the driver who was behind the wheel was not injured but the expensive car suffered severe damages.
The German-made Porsche911 GT2 RS is 1 of only 1,000 in the world. The other supercars are probably being shined and waxed in a spacious garage somewhere.
This Porsche was involved in a 5-car pile-up in Penarth and only more than a mile from the showroom. It is believed that the vehicle had only been pickied up when it crashed minutes from Porsche Centre Cardiff.
“The guy had only just picked it up from Porsche around the corner and he claimed the brakes failed,” said Hywel Williams, a fellow driver.
The700bhp supercar was ranked at the highest point of Top Gear’s fastest lap table.
According to South Wales Police spokesperson, all the vehicles from the scene had been recovered.
“No injuries were reported,” said a police spokesperson.
Earlier this year, a similar incident happened in China when a driver crashed his friend’s $715,000 Ferrari into another vehicle only minutes after driving.
Jin, the hapless driver, was seen driving down a main road in Wujiang District of Suzhou City when the crash occurred, resulting in $38,000 worth of damages.
Surveillance cameras caught the moment the white car swerved from one side to another and crashed into a black Toyota, pushing it off the road and slamming into another vehicle and scooters.
According to local authorities, the owner of the black Toyota car had to be freed from his car and suffered minor injuries.
Jin, who was in his 30s, admitted that he was driving the Ferrari, which he had only borrowed from a friend.
