Actors and Hollywood celebrities Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have spoken out and revealed what will happen with their inheritances after they pass away.
As the couple previously pointed out, they have no intention of spoiling their children or making their lives as smooth as possible despite accumulating nearly $300 million according to reports.
According to the TV stars, the majority of their funds and assets will go towards various charities and foundations rather than their kids Dimitri Portwood, 3, and Wyatt Isabelle, 5.
“My kids are living a really privileged life, and they don’t even know it. And they’ll never know it because this is the only one that they’ll know,” Kutcher said in a podcast.
“I’m not setting up a trust for them. We’ll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things.
“If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I’ll invest in it. But they’re not getting trusts. So, hopefully, they’ll be motivated to have what they had or some version of what they had.”
As the couple expressed, they want to teach their children an important lesson about riches having to be earned and spent wisely and selflessly. They also want their kids to be successful in their own way.
Previously, Mila and Ashton have gone viral after rumors emerged claiming that they banned their kids from receiving Christmas gifts.
Addressing the rumors, Mila said:
“No, we don’t ban presents for our kids. This story was taken… out of [context]. There’s something to be said for desire and want. When Wyatt is like I really, really want that, I want her to have that feeling of need and want and I also want her to earn it.
“Right now every gift she’s gotten has zero meaning. I don’t need her to become expectant of gifts in life. We’ve told our parents, ‘We’re begging you – if you have to give her something, pick one gift.’”
Looks like they’re doing a great job at parenting! Do you agree?
