A security guard was caught on camera dragging vegan activists out of a McDonald’s after they staged a protest at the branch.

Shocked dinners were observing every move of the security guard at McDonald’s branch in Brighton, UK, who confronted vegan protestors who were wielding placards such as “it’s not food, it’s violence.”

“We are here today to draw attention to speciesism and the normalized violence that is happening here right now. We say we are a nation of animal lovers, yet we abuse, mutilate, exploit and kill non-human animals every single day,” one of the vegans said.

After deciding he wouldn’t let vegans ruin the mood of paying customers, the guard destroyed the activists’ props before dragging them out of the restaurant by their feet.

In the footage posted on social media, the security guard was seen pulling on a man’s foot before finally making him stand up and pushing him through the front door.

After the incident went viral, many viewers slammed the Direct Action Everywhere activists for “frightening” the customers with their chanting and “aggressive approach.”

Meanwhile, people seemed to be pleased with the security guard’s actions with some of them suggesting he deserves a raise.

As for Direct Action Everywhere, they are convinced they did the right thing and have no plans on slowing down with their activism.

“It is no surprise that when attempting to peacefully disrupt violence towards innocent animals, we are met with so much aggression and violence,” the spokesperson said.

“This place only exists because the customers are kept in the dark about the abuse that occurs to the animals who are held captive inside dark sheds.

“We will keep returning to places that objectify animals and take their rights from them until animals get protection under law and the justice they deserve.”
