When something unexpected happens, people panic because they don’t know what to do next.
At the big events, it is hard for people to speak up what to do because nobody’s ready.
During the volleyball match between high schools, an accident happened.
All the people in the stadium were standing for the national anthem, but the CD player was broken. They couldn’t play the national anthem.

She held the microphone and began to sing the national anthem. Her voice was amazing. Nobody ever knew that she had a special voice!
She has been singing since she could speak and has been in the church choir since third grade.
Garcia interviewed with KSAT, “We were about to stand for the national anthem as we noticed that the CD wasn’t working. I didn’t feel nervous. I felt like excited because I get to sing.”
Her singing quickly became viral through the internet and she was happy that many people watched her singing. “I honestly couldn’t ask for more. They all had smiles on their faces. Some of them teared up. Some of them had told me that they had the chills and just that feeling that I can give to people that emotion, that was so exciting,” she said.

Garcia thinks that people are so touched and excited by her singing because she sang with her whole heart. She realizes so many people have fought for this country and is able to put the spirit into her singing.
“I have family members that were in the military that fought for freedom and just to see other people that don’t understand that is kind of offensive to me but I understand it’s their opinion,” she said.
Garcia said it was the unforgettable moment for her to stand in front of many people and sing the national anthem. What a lovely voice!
