Police have arrested a man in Bradford after he was found keeping hundreds of fake McDonald’s coffee stickers.
The defrauder had smashed the fake sheets in his car in such a way that they couldn’t be seen easily at first sight.
The man was stopped by West Yorkshire police officers on the charge of drug-driving. The officers didn’t know at the time that the person was involved in another illegal act too.
“Male arrested for drug driving in @WYP_BradfordS also dealt with for a fraud offense when multiple sheets of fake @McDonaldsUK coffee stickers were found in his vehicle,” wrote Steerside Enforcement Team on their official Twitter account.
“It may seem inconsequential, but it is illegal to cheat a company like this. Just pay for your coffee!”
The purpose behind this fraud was just to get a free coffee as per Maccie’s policy that enables one to get a free cup of coffee in exchange for 6 such stickers.
Whatever the cause remained, the man was arrested for allegedly defrauding the fast-food chain.
Another viral incident related to McDonald’s is about a lady who has defied the laws of science and biology – by losing 15 kg of her weight using a diet comprising of eating Maccies three times a day.
The woman decided to work on a diet plan after one of her colleagues told her that she had ugly and ‘chunky legs’.
The lady, who works at a McDonald’s branch in Taiwan, made a diet plan comprising of just Maccie’s delicacies.
Well, please don’t try her method of losing weight before completely understanding what she ate.
The woman explained: “I heard a colleague say that my legs were too big and yet I dared to wear a skirt, but because of you I am the person I am now. Without you, I may still be over 70 kilograms (154lb).
“I work at McDonald’s and eat it three times a day. I don’t touch French fries, fried chicken skin, apple pies, burger buns or sugary drinks.
“I only eat the burger meat, lettuce, eggs, crispy chicken wings, non-sugary drinks and peeled fried chicken.”
The takeaway is that you can also lose undesirable weight by eating just junk food provided that you avoid sugary drinks and fried eatables.
