12-year-old Jonah from Texas has been in foster care for over four years.
Dressed up with a light blue shirt, tie, grey vest, and slacks, Jonah sat down for an interview with WFAA and said he wants to find a forever family.
When he was younger, he experienced years of abuse before finally entering the Child Protective Services.
Despite all the hardships life has thrown at him, Jonah managed to get back on his feet.
The young boy has strong faith that he will also be able to have a loving family. “Reason, why I want to be adopted, is because I know there’s a family out there that fits me in the best possible way that they can.”
“Waking me up this morning, you know what I mean? Starting me on my way. I’m in my right mind. I know who I am and I’m proud of being the person who I am,” he expressed.
Aside from winning an award for being a multi-tasker, Jonah is also an honor roll student and has been getting straight A’s.
“I have a desire to have knowledge and wisdom,” he said to WFAA.
“The golden rule is to treat somebody the way you want to be treated and that’s what I do or at least what I try to do the most,” he added.
“I am a person who likes to uplift people.”
Jonah also believes God rescued him from all the hardships he experienced.
“He’s brought me through many, many things. As far as abuse before I came into CPS. He’s brought me through a lot. Just a lot overall.”
There is no doubt that the family would be so lucky to have Jonah.
