D Pet Hotels is New York’s luxury hotel for dogs where rich and famous dogs get chef-prepared meals, spa treatments, and chauffeur-driven rides.
A room in New York’s D Pet Hotels costs $84 a night that has an orthopedic bed, TV, and 24-hour care.
While the ‘uber suite’ of the hotel costs $200 a night that features a double bed and 42-inch TV.
Co-owner Kerry Brown said: “We have dogs that come in for daycare with parents who are attorneys or bankers. We’ve got a pop star princess who uses us, [and] some famous movie actors, so we are fortunate to get to care for that client as well.”
“[The uber suites] are nicer than my bedroom at home. We’ve got a lot of regular clients who only want to use uber suites for their dogs because they want their dog to feel as much at home as possible.”
There is also a specialized doggie gym and the pups get fresh chicken with rice and vegetables for lunch and dinner.
Kerry said: “[There are often] certain times of the day when we have to walk the dog, even if it’s the middle of the night. Certainly they have very catered meals for them, [such as] fresh chicken with rice and vegetables. We’ve even had to place treats on the dog’s pillow before bedtime.”
There are several indoor dog parks at the luxury hotel where the pampered pooch can rest or play. They also offer pawdicures for a little extra pampering.
Eliana, a regular client, said: “The minute you walk in the door, everyone’s smiling. They greet your puppy as though it was the only one here in daycare.”
Ronald Gardner, a dog keeper at the hotel, said: “We should be treating them the way we would want to be treated, so the fact that we can provide something like this is sweet. It’s nice.”
