On Wednesday, Cook Country Sheriff reported seeing a donkey zigzagging in the middle of Interstate-90 at Arlington Heights road.

The sheriff was not on her daily routine and captured this particular animal in a camera.

The bewildered Sheriff said that she found a donkey in I-90. However, the place was not a good spot for the donkey to hanging around, as there were chances that an accident can take place at any moment.

The Sheriff was very patient and tried to lure the donkey away from the high-speed vehicles. She also took the help of a motorist and requested the individual to stand guard for the animal as she was busy looking for a solution.

It was pretty rare to find an animal, also a donkey in the middle of Interstate-90, and the Sheriff reported back to the headquarters about it.

The Sheriff took the chance to learn where the donkey was actually from, and it was reported that the animal has an owner.

The donkey goes by the name Dusty, somehow leave its owner’s place and wandered off into Interstate-90 expressway.

However, she informed the headquarters to get in touch with the donkey’s owner with immediate effect.

Dusty was returned to its owner with no injuries and the Sheriff also said that three dogs in the car are not let out, as it might scare the donkey. 

She also added that, if the animal runs away because of her dogs, there was no chance of catching it on this expressway. The video of the Sheriff saving the donkey went viral on the internet once it was posted.

The Sheriff won the hearts of many citizens for her contribution and saving a poor animal during its time of distress.
