A filmmaker re-animated the final scene from Sleeping Beauty to give the ultimate proposal for his Disney-loving girlfriend.
29-year-old Lee Loechler and his high school sweetheart just got engaged in a Boston movie theater, which Lee rented out for the sweet proposal.
During the final scene, when Prince Philipp tries to wake Aurora up from her sleeping curse, Lee changed the scene and made Aurora and the Prince look like them.
After kissing Aurora, the prince got down on one knee and presented a ring.
The couple from Brookline Massachusetts have been together for more than a decade.
The video shared on YouTube shows Lee and Sthuthi David sitting next to each other in the front seats of the movie theatre. They were watching her favorite film, Sleeping Beauty.
When the Prince woke Aurora from the curse, it was evident that Sthuthi already noticed something different. Aurora became a darker-skinned brunette and the prince’s hair changed from light brown to black!
The prince smiled before opening a box with a sparking diamond ring, and Sthuthi’s jaw literally dropped in confusion and surprise.
Then, the prince tossed the ring on screen and Lee stood up to catch it! He got down on one knee, and the theater, which he had secretly filled with family and friends, started to cheer.
“It’s not every day you get to propose to your High School sweetheart,” he told her. “So I just wanna take my time. Savor this moment.”
Sthuthi kept on saying ‘oh my god’ before adding ‘poor people’ as they interrupted the film, then Lee said that everyone is ‘on it.’ She then turned around and was shocked to find her friends and family taking photos.
“I love you with my whole heart, including all of its ventricles, atriums, valves,” Lee said. “Sthuthi David, M.D., will you live happily ever after with me?”
