Most people believe that dogs and cats are mortal enemies.

They fight over almost everything – food, water, bed, and attention.

But pet owners know that these animals also care for each other and they have so much love to give not only to their human companions but also to other creatures.

This is a hilarious moment a completely confused feline woke up being snuggled by a fluffy Golden Retriever.

Captured in Los Angeles, California, the video shows the adorable cat wondering what happened last night and how it ended up between the paws of the sleeping pooch.

The clip shows Louie and Mochi ‘spooning’ in bed with a white blanket over them to keep them cozy.

The big Golden Retriever slept with his legs comfortably tucked around the confused kitten. But the feline looked around and twitched its head from one side to another while trying to figure out what was happening.

But the two adorable animals remained in the embrace position.

One internet user commented: “Cute, silly and sweet! The cat will probably be doing the walk of shame to a box because that’s the way of the cat.”

Another wrote: “My Leonardo da Kitty loves to cuddle up with Penelope the Dorkie (dauchshund/yorkie). PePe gives him a through cleaning every night which Leonardo loves. He never will return the favor though!”

A third added: “My sister’s cat had kittens and they loved nothing better than cuddling up with her great Dane who was great with the cat too.”

Someone else shared: “Reminds me my Boston terrier and Siamese. They absolutely love one another and she will crawl in his bed for a snuggle. The funny thing is she doesn’t like to be caught. If she knows you see her bathing him or snuggling she will scamper off with a disgusted look in her face, lol.”
