Every couple going to be parents have their plan completely set.

They know how they want their delivery to be done and they go accordingly. But what if they have to turn their plan upside down completely and have no idea what to do?

This is exactly what happened with Rhys and Jade Brown as Jade went into labor in the middle of the night and Rhys had no idea what to do. To make it worse, Rhys’ one hand was in a cast because he had a broken thumb.

They called an ambulance but there was no time. Jade had to deliver her baby right on the couch in their living room. 

Rhys said “It was terrible. I had a broken thumb and mu hand was in a cast. It was completely out of use. And I had to make a call to the emergency on the other hand. I kept running around the house to collect things and to get towels and things before the ambulance came. But there was no time so Jade had to deliver at home.” 

By the time paramedics arrived, the baby was already out in the world. I told them that I have already done their job. They came on, wrapped the baby in a towel and cut the cord off.”

The child and the mother were then taken to the hospital to keep under observation. Everything turned out right and the family is safe and healthy and back home now.

Jade said “I am so glad Rhys was here and was so involved in this. I am so glad that our baby girl came out in the world in her father’s arms. She is so lucky to have Rhys as her father. I am just so overwhelmed with the entire experiences.”
