The cruise has been constantly moving in the ocean for the last two weeks because it could find no place to dock as 5 countries refused the permission to dock it.
The reason the ship was denied was due to the raised concern for coronavirus that all the countries the cruise visited had, But it turned out that there was not a single case of coronavirus-positive passenger.
The cruise has finally found a place in Cambodia to dock.
On February 13, the passengers on the cruise MS Westerdam took a sigh of relief as about 800 crew members and 1,500 tourists de-boarded the ship after arriving at an anchored dock.
The extended travel had become a huge problem for the travelers as well as for the crew members, there was nothing much for the the crew to do about the situation.
Still, taking the responsibility, the president of the company that owns the ship Holland America Line thanked the passengers for understanding the situation and cooperating with the same.
Orlando Ashford, the president of the company said “The circumstances were incredibly challenging and unusual. This has been a completely bizarre situation for all of us but you have been the best guests throughout.”
No one on the cruise had fallen sick at all but still, to make sure, the blood sample of each and every passenger present on the cruise was taken by Cambodian health officers to test them for the coronavirus.
The transport minister of Cambodia said “there are a few people on the ship those who were sick and out of all of them, 20 have already been admitted to complete isolation.
Our team of doctors has been working with the patients to find out if there is any patient with the virus at all. As far as our calculation says, there is going to be no positive case of the virus.
