Ghost hunter Zak Bagans has spoken out and claimed that examining the real-life haunted house that served as an inspiration for the movie The Conjuring has left him physically ill.
Ghost Adventures’ Zak took to the Harrisville, Rhode Island house with his colleagues in order to investigate the alleged haunting at the 300-year-old building that inspired The Conjuring.
The special 2-hour episode aired on Travel Channel and left the viewers in shock after the ghost hunter claimed the house made him sick.
“This house made me sick, and I did not recover from this investigation for about three weeks,” the 42-year-old star said in an interview with People.
“It took everything out of me. My body wasn’t functioning right. My balance. This place is haunted by something I believe is very ancient. As an investigator, this is the ultimate place to go because of the history.”
According to the reports, Zak and his team-of-four were the first people allowed inside the creepy home in the last 15 years.
“Being able to get inside of the house and back inside of this case, reopen these files, learn some things that people don’t know about this investigation, was just an absolute thrill,” the man added.
“When we were using infrared binoculars, we captured this black mass blocking the light and the window of the house.”
The abandoned home made it back into the papers after it was bought by paranormal investigators Jennifer and Cory Henzein. After the two moved in, they allegedly came to understand that the place was still very much haunted after all those years.
“I fear for the family that lives there if it progresses,” Zak said of the couple’s reports. “I know it’s a thrill to buy the house and live there, but they need to be very aware of what they could potentially be dealing with.”
