While most of us do not try novel ideas to ice pancakes and opt for traditional coatings like Nutella or sugar and lemon, there are people who try things not written in the book.
Ian Abrahams initiated a wave of disgust on the internet after he revealed his unusual recipe of stuffing pancakes with canned tuna.
Ian shared a picture of the ingredients for his new pancakes on Twitter, captioning it: “Happy Pancake Day – Ready to make my breakfast, Tuna Pancakes.”
You heard it right, the man had breakfast consisting mainly of Tuna Pancakes.
Now, it is a good practice to think out of the box and try new things but wrapping tuna in a coating of fried batter is a little too much off the edge.
People online had all sorts of different responses to the situation created by Ian.
One man, apparently not much pleased with the idea, said: “What the h*ll is wrong with you man!!!!!”
Someone else said sarcastically: “Alexa…show me the worst kind of pancake please.”
One user, not even being able to contemplate the situation, said: “You can’t be serious.”
Some people even counted Ian’s use of readymade batter as a crime and labeled him lazy for not making his own batter.
“Can’t even be arsed to mix the pancake mix yourself, you lazy,” one Twitter user wrote.
It looks like Ian’s Tuna Pancakes are his own way of celebrating the World Pancake Day. He shared an approximately same post on the last Pancake Day and despite the disapproval of many, it racked up above 1,000 likes.
No matter what the internet says, we have not tasted the thing – it might actually be delicious.
Regardless of anything, you can celebrate your Pancake Day with shrimps in a cupcake maybe, just because you can. And guess what, no one can stop you.
