Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, manager of Manchester United, said that the club will be trying to sign Odion Ighalo on a permanent basis after he scored his fourth goal in the eight games on Thursday.
The Nigerian continued his outstanding start life at ManU with a solo effort in 5-0 Europa League win over LASK in Austria. The game was played in front of 0 fans due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Odion was able to control a cheerful through ball from Fernandes brilliantly, taking 3 touches in the air as well as rifling an effort into the net off the underside of the bar.
This strike was openly appreciated by Solskjaer as well as his team on the touchline. Then, the United boss said that the player had already shown enough to bag a place in the team next season.
As per Solskjaer, Odion played well since the player came in and he was enjoying himself.
With time and experience, Odion would get better but the United team saw what they needed in him and would need those qualities for the next season.
Praising Odion, Solskjaer added that he is a striker and a goalscorer and knows how to go his job, about his role in the team, and that he is a great link player who is excellent with his back for going.
He also said that Odion has a great personality and so, he is a complete package. Odion’s three touched before the fourth one was also admired by Solskjaer. He described them as high quality.
