A heart-melting picture has emerged that shows grandchildren connecting with their isolated grandparents through a glass door.

An ITV weatherman shared the adorable picture of the isolated grandparents and their grandchildren holding hands through a glass door amid coronavirus outbreak.

Chris Page, from Norwich, Norfolk, shared the picture on his Twitter with the caption: ‘This is the most adorable thing I’ve seen so far today from a friend of mine. Remember, self-isolation doesn’t have to be lonely if managed correctly.’

The adorable picture shows the grandparents and the grandchildren holding hands through the glass door while smiling.

The picture instantly went viral after it was posted online and touched everyone’s heart.

Twitter users branded the picture ‘sweet’ and ‘heartwarming’.

Chris wrote in another tweet: ‘It’s so tough but the grandparents smiling just shows the enjoyment they’re getting.’

Amid coronavirus outbreak, people are self-isolating and most of the places are in lockdown.

The son, who visits his father every single day, didn’t fail to visit him even during a lockdown as he sat outside the care home window while the isolated father was inside the care home and they talked through a phone while sitting next to a glass window.

Another heartwarming picture emerged recently that shows an elderly man standing outside his wife’s care home window on their wedding anniversary.

The man, who has never been apart from his wife of 67 years on their wedding anniversary, stood outside the care home with a sign and balloons to wish her a ‘Happy Anniversary.’

He held a sign that read: “I’ve loved you 67 years and still do. Happy Anniversary.”
