Anthony was left at a hospital when he was eleven years old by who he believed were his parents.

He expected them to return but they never did.

He was then put in the state care and that is where his life changed forever but for better. The place made him meet the person who would become Anthony’s forever family.

Peter has been aware of the high requirements of the foster care system. Peter had been caring 3 siblings who were removed from their biological parents as well.

Peter took care of them for 7 months until they went back to their parents. Four days later, his phone ringed and he was asked to do something he would not normally do by a social worker.

Peter revealed in the story written by him that Anthony asked to call Peter dad the first time they met.

Anthony was left under Peter’s care and though Peter did not want to get attached to the kid, as he was going to stay only for two days when he heard about Anthony’s story, he decided to make a strong move.

The social worker revealed she had no plan where to put Anthony and this made Peter realize he wanted to become his Dad. He then asked her to provide him with a placement letter so that he could register the boy in school.

The social worker confirmed repeatedly if Peter was sure, he cleared that he would take care of the thirteen-year-old from there on and she will no longer have to worry about finding Anthony home ever again.

From then on, Anthony was enrolled in a school and his new dad began to proceed with setting up Anthony’s adoption. The thirteen-year-old was officially adopted on 12th November.
