The world is in crisis due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
With the self-isolation going in full swing, people are urging to stockpile their home with essential supplies.
There have been cases around the world where people are fighting over hoarding their supplies. In recent days, going to market to pick up the toilet paper, and other essential items might end up in chaos.
Though the UK government has announced that there will be no shortage of food in the UK and advised to give up panic buying during the pandemic. Due to this hoarding, most of the people are not getting the essential supplies for their households.
A store in Denmark has come up with an innovative idea to avoid stockpiling hand sanitizers and other essentials. A Twitter user shared the little trick that the store is using to reduce the hoarding.
Buying one hand sanitizer from the store would cost around 40 DKK, which is quite reasonable, but when you head on to buy the second bottle, you will have to pay 1000 DKK.
Since the Twitter post went viral, people are appreciating the idea and one of the users also said that we should use this trick in the UK as well. But the idea should be applied to all the essentials like toilet roll, pasta, cans of soup, etc.
Another user added that in their locality, people are panic buying from the last few weeks. He added that recently, he visited a grocery store and found completely wiped out shelves.
It is a matter of grave concern and everyone should take responsibility and not indulge in panic buying. The government has cleared that there will be no shortage of supplies and people should stop hoarding.
The stores have asked the customers to not panic as they have been getting enough supplies for them. There are times when stores have to limit the buyer’s entry to the store.
